Real Makhoi is a small family business from Retreat, on the Cape Flats of Cape Town. In two urban gardens we grow indigenous South African plants — sutherlandia, wilde-als, honeybush, wild olive, African potato and more — tended by hand, the way our elders taught us.
Everything we sell starts in those gardens. The plants are hand-harvested, naturally dried, and blended in small batches into teas, balms and ointments. No chemicals, no shortcuts — from the plant to the soul, and from the plant to the shelf.
You will find us at community markets and expos around Cape Town, and our range is stocked by local shops. Every order placed here goes straight to our WhatsApp, where we confirm your order personally and arrange payment and delivery.
